Waterfront Infrastructure Repairs in America

United States Coast Guard Station, Port O’Connor, TX

The waterfront repairs project started in the Fall of 2012. Maintaining the excavation depth with the water flow from the intracoastal waterway through the concrete sheet pile wall provided a challenge throughout this project. The project consisted of::

  • Demolishing and disposing of 1,500 square feet of concrete behind the concrete sheet pile wall
  • Careful excavation between fiber optic wires and piping throughout the job limits
  • Pumping 120 cubic yards of grout against sheet pile wall
  • Repair of leaking water line
  • Backfill with select fill and compaction of 95%
